At first, I thought irony was a way of expressing feelings in a story, but I learned that this was wrong. Actually, irony is the difference between what seems suitable and the reality of what happens. Here are three types of irony: dramatic irony, verbal irony, and situational irony.
I also learned about ambiguity. I used to think ambiguity was when a reader makes predictions of the character, but I learned that ambiguity is a part of a text with multiple meanings in which something can be interpreted in a number of different ways. On my irony and ambiguity pretest, I was far below grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be at grade-level.

This quarter, I will ignore negative things that are going on in the classroom. In order to achieve this, I will come in your class every day focused and with a good attitude.
This quarter, I will get passing grades on all my classes. And study every day and take notes for my upcoming test assignments.
In order to achieve this, I will have to spend more time during study hour and make sure I understand the homework.
